Chery gets JD Power China accolades for Tiggo 7, 8

MANILA: Chery  has received recognitions for the Tiggo 7 and 8 sport utility vehicles (SUV) in JD Power China. 

According to the carmaker, the JD Power China Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout study ranked the Chery Tiggo 7 as number one in the medium-sized economical SUV category while the Tiggo 8 was ranked number one in the medium-sized SUV category. 

The result was based on the evaluation of 35,155 traditional fuel vehicle owners who purchased new vehicles between June 2022 and March 2023. Included were 230 models from 48 brands.

Per Chery, the said research was conducted in 81 major Chinese cities between December 2022 and May 2023.

“In the past 26 years, Chery Group has been investing in research and development and technology, continuously innovating to keep up with consumer demand, industry trends, and global quality standards,” Chery wrote in a press release. 

To date, Chery’s SUV sales have exceeded 3.4 million units globally.

In the Philippines, Chery’s offerings include models like the Tiggo 2 Pro, Tiggo 5x, Tiggo 7 Pro, and the Tiggo 8 Pro.
