Chery sample EV model to arrive in PH soon

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines revealed that three sample electric vehicles (EV) are set to arrive in the country soon.

One plug-in hybrid model and two all-electric models will be shipped by Chery International to the Philippines.

Currently, Chery Auto Philippines offers three hybrid models in the local market: the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV, Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, and Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid.

In the first half of 2023, Chery reported an eight percent increase in its product sales in the Philippine market. Meanwhile, Chery Holding Group recorded a year-on-year sales increase of 42 percent from January to August of this year, delivering a total of 1,063,157 units.

The Tiggo 8 emerged as one of the best-selling models of Chery Holding Group with 21,369 units sold.

The upcoming arrival of Chery sample EVs is part of the brand’s efforts to incorporate “green power” to its future product offerings to give Filipinos more sustainable and environmentally friendly vehicles.
