MANILA: Hariphil Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI) has further strengthened Chevrolet’s reach in the Bicol region by putting up a new dealership in Camarines Sur (Cam Sur).

    HARI Vice Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer Maria Fe Agudo expressed confidence in the dealership’s readiness to cater to the needs of its customers in the region.

    During the opening ceremony, Agudo received a warm welcome from prominent members of the province’s government and business sectors, led by Pili Mayor Tomas Bongalonta.

     “Our presence in Bicol will make Chevrolet’s global tagline, ‘Together, Let’s Drive,’ a reality. As the newest member of the local business community, we are ready to be your partner in driving the economy of Cam Sur and pursue the noble aspirations of the Bicol Region,” Agudo said.

    The largest province in Bicol, Camarines Sur contributes to around 33 percent of the region’s economy. It is also touted as “Sports and Adventure Capital of the Philippines” as it serves as hub for adventure sports and eco-tourism in the area.

    For his part, Chevrolet Cam Sur Dealer Principal William Chiongbian said that the establishment of the new facility is of strategic timing, given current and future infrastructure plans that will develop Cam Sur into one of the Philippines’ major growth centers for tourism and commerce. 

    “Things are looking up for Cam Sur. So, right here and now, we can already begin to add more value, serving and delighting the mobility needs of the Oragons and of the diverse markets who are visiting and who will be visiting this beautiful province,” he said.

    Meanwhile, Agudo vowed to live up to the company’s “legacy of excellence in new ways in order to respond to the needs of today’s diverse markets.”

    Now under HARI, Chevrolet in the Philippines has enjoyed breakthroughs during the initial half of the year such as the 131-percent growth (beating the brand’s full year performance in 2023), driven by the TrackerCamaro, and Trailblazer.
