Chevrolet to reveal Silverado EV in Jan. 2022
MANILA: Chevrolet will debut the all-electric Silverado at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022 technology expo. The reveal will take place during the opening keynote delivered by General Motors Chair and CEO Mary Barra in January 2022.
The brand also confirmed the Silverado EV pickup will feature an available fixed-glass roof, "offering expansive visibility, increased headroom, and an enhanced experience of spaciousness for both front and rear passengers."
This is the first application of an available fixed-glass roof on a GM pickup in the full-size truck segment, the American carmaker added.
In addition to the fixed-glass roof, Chevrolet has confirmed the availability of Four-Wheel Steer, a chassis feature that enables the vehicle to steer all four wheels.
The electric Silverado will offer customers a GM-estimated range of more than 400 miles (643 kilometers) on a full charge. The upcoming pickup is the EV counterpart to Chevrolet's full-size pickup.
Designed as an EV from the ground up, the Silverado EV "harnesses the best of the Ultium Platform and Silverado’s proven capability."
