Chevy Tracker, Trailblazer record more than 20kpl in fuel eco run

MANILA: Under the direction of the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the sole importer and distributor of Chevrolet vehicles and parts in the Philippines, recently completed an economy run of the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer and Tracker.

The 2022 Chevy Trailblazer and Tracker were put through a rigorous highway test last July, traveling a total of 263.3 kilometers from Clark to the Tarlac, Pangasinan, and La Union Expressway (TPLEX) Rosario exit and back.

To imitate actual driving situations, the aforementioned models were operated under the following settings. The cars' tires were inflated to the factory-recommended level, there were two people traveling in each vehicle without any bulky luggage, and the vehicles' speeds on the highway were kept between 80 and 90kph while adhering to traffic laws and restrictions.

In addition to the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer's eye-catching design, ample interior space, plush amenities, and cutting-edge technology, this small SUV also managed to check off fuel efficiency on its list of impressive attributes. In the conducted eco run with AAP, the Trailblazer Premier model achieved a remarkable 20.87kpl.

Powered by the GM E-Turbo 1.3-liter turbocharged engine matched with a New Generation Lightweight CVT with Multi-Mode Drive System, Engine Start/Stop System and Advanced Active Thermal Management, this compact SUV is capable of delivering 155hp and 236Nm of torque. These systems work together to provide an efficient fuel consumption without compromising the performance of the vehicle.

An efficient drive is even more pleasurable and safe with the wide array of driver assistance systems that are standard to the Trailblazer. Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance indicator, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, six SRS airbags, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Rear Park Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are standard on the Trailblazer Premier and LT variants.

The Tracker crossover SUV is another Chevy car that performed admirably in the fuel economy run. This highly regarded model from Chevy's range of premium crossovers, which boasts practical practicality, upped the ante after recording an astounding 25.05 kpl fuel efficiency.

Under the hood of this nifty crossover SUV is a one-liter three-cylinder Ecotec turbocharged engine that powers up to 116hp and 175Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and Active Thermal Management System that intuitively optimizes the engine performance and fuel efficiency.

The Tracker is also equipped with Enhanced Stability Control systems and safety technologies that come standard on both the LS and LT Redline trims to ensure ease and comfort of everyone inside.
