CONFIRMED: All-new Civic coming Nov. 23 with Honda Sensing, turbo engine
MANILA: The all-new, 11th-generation Honda Civic will come with Honda Sensing safety tech and VTEC turbo engine as standard, Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) announced.

For customers who will reserve an all-new Civic V until Dec. 31, 2021, Honda PH will throw in free Modulo accessories.The compact car will be launched in the market on November 23, 12:30 p.m, with a live broadcast on HCPI's Facebook page.
With prices ranging from P1.3 million to P1.7 million, Honda said the 2022 Civic will come in three variants — Civic S and V Turbo CVT, and the range topping Civic RS Turbo CVT.
The 2022 Civic, which received a five-star rating in the ASEAN NCAP crash test, features the Honda Sensing, packing "intelligent safety technologies." These gadgets are the following:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS).
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).
- Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW).
- Auto High-Beam (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF).
- Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN).
As for the specs, the spec sheet of the foreign-market 2022 Civic says that the car's 1.5-liter turbocharged L15B7 VTEC engine pushes 180hp (at 6,000rpm) and 240Nm of torque (at 4,500rpm). The engine is paired to a CVT system that promises better shift response.
To celebrate the launch, HCPI will offer customers the chance to purchase a limited number of 2022 Civic cars finished in Platinum White Pearl—at no additional cost until November 30.
Meanwhile, customers who will reserve a Civic V Turbo until December 31, 2021 are entitled to a free Modulo Trunk Tray and Modulo Exhaust Pipe Finisher. That will be on top of all other promotions offered for the November release until January 31, 2022.
The Civic V Turbo CVT vehicles will also arrive in January 2022.
As for equipment, the Civic is likely to come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto infotainment, Bose 12-speaker system, on the top trim, and wireless charging.
Behind the steering wheel, a high-resolution 10.2-inch digital display should be fitted. The highlight of the Civic's digital display is that when the car is put in Sport mode, the display changes its color to red.
