CS75 Plus is next Changan in AAP eco-run, nets 17.3kpl highway rate
MANILA: The CS75 Plus joins the Alsvin and the CS35 Plus in Changan’s fuel-efficient vehicles, following an economy run conducted by Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) and the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP). The CS75 Plus netted a fuel consumption of 17.3kpl highway and 8.933kpl city.
For the highway driving test run, the vehicle traversed Shell Balagtas NLEX Northbound to SCTEX Tarlac Terminus, going to Shell of Asia Bulacan, passing through NLEX, to Clark Spur Road, SCTEX, and back, CMPI said. The route covered a distance of 180.65 kilometers, while the car ran at speeds between 60 to 85kph.
For city driving, the CS75 Plus traveled a distance of 90.7 kilometers. This particular test followed a route starting from Makati, Pasay City, Manila, and Quezon City, and vice versa, with varying speeds in compliance with traffic rules and road conditions.
CMPI said that it and the AAP performed the test runs through realistic driving parameters. The CS75 Plus was fueled to the brim, all OEM equipment were present; tire pressure was set at OEM specifications; air-conditioning was set to medium-cool thermostat setting; the radio either not used, on low volume, or put on mute; while two passengers and no extra baggage were on board.
According to Changan, the CS75 Plus’ 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine provides “increased power while lessening fuel consumption,” while the six-speed automatic transmission allows the driver to control the engine's speed and power output.
Carrying the carmaker’s tagline "Change your view of confidence," the CS75 Plus “exudes excellent personal mobility from the inside to the outside.” The CS75 is equipped with a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch touchscreen audio display, sporty D-shaped steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, and scarlet leather seats.
In keeping with Changan's identity of bringing “Lasting Safety,” the CS75 Plus ensures a safe ride with its six airbags, a 360-degree Panoramic Camera, and Hill Descent and Hill Hold Controls. Adding to the safety tech are Reverse Parking Sensors, Electronic Parking Brake, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
