DeLorean: Back to the Future Car is Back with a Bang after Long 34 Years

This Back to the Future Car will make its production under function after nearly 34 years. Way back in the tenure of 1980's, it flaunted its beauty in the Hollywood movie “Back To The Future.” Doc Brown and Marty McFly played the lead roles in this trilogy film. This movie had flagged its fame in such positive way that the fans were inspired, and dedicated a day to celebrate its existence. It gained popularity to such an extent that it floated everywhere on the social networking platforms and trended well on twitter. In this trilogy movie it brought 6 cars into use, from which barely three cars are existent till now. It has been manufactured putting in fiberglass chassis along with under body structure. Previously the Delorean Motor Company shelved its production plans owing to the crisis and bankruptcy. It however sold 9,000 units in the year 1983, out of which 16 were right hand drive automobiles.

This DMC-12 model is believed to be a reflection of the prior model that was showcased in the movie. However, there will certain enhancements implemented in the specifications that will enrich the driving experience. Earlier, it was powered by Peugeot-Renault-Volvo 2.8-litre V6 engine that churned out 136 PS. On the contrary, the car will now be equipped with a brand new V6 engine. It's anticipated that the output will range between 300-400 hp. There have been specific restrictions applied in the units that can be produced which is limited to 325. It is interesting to note that the original parts are still accessible to create such an off-beat car. The panels of body construction were brushed stainless steel, where merely 3 cars were painted in gold. The aim behind this was to promote it for the American Express (Gold) card holders. It could drive through the speed of 0-60 mph in 8.8 seconds duration.

The probable launch of its first car is expected by the year 2017. With the trending technology in perspective, this car will be facilitated with Anti-Lock Braking System, Airbags and Stability Control making it all the more alluring. Furthermore, there will be no stone left unturned when it comes to the interior comfort and connectivity. There will be a provision of updated navigation system having Bluetooth connectivity. Along with this the passenger will be facilitated with power seats with a heating provision.

It is a game-changer for us. We’ve been wanting this to happen. That was a green light to go back into production. That was prohibited. It was against the law to do it.”
