Dodge Challenger Shakedown is first of seven special-edition ‘Last Call’ models

MANILA: Dodge has unveiled the first of its “Last Call” lineup of seven special-edition 2023 models.

The 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown is a homage to the first Dodge Shakedown Challenger concept, which was presented at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The special-edition 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown maintains the original's black-and-red exterior and interior motif while combining a contemporary and vintage aesthetic.

The Last Call lineup celebrates the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, whose current iterations are ending. Six special-edition Challenger and Charger models will be unveiled until September 21. The seventh and final 2023 Dodge model will be unveiled at the 2022 SEMA Show, which will be held on November 1 to 4.

“Dodge Speed Week may be over, but our brand is far from finished in shaking up the muscle car world. We’re following up Speed Week reveals of the future of electrified muscle in the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept and our first electrified vehicle in the 2023 Dodge Hornet R/T by announcing six special, commemorative-edition models in a little over a month,” Dodge Chief Executive Officer Tim Kuniskis said.

Only 1,000 units of the 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown will be produced: 500 Dodge Challenger Shakedown R/T Scat Pack in Destroyer Grey and 500 Challenger Shakedown R/T Scat Pack Widebody in Pitch Black.

The units will come with content from the Plus Group, Technology Group, Navigation, Carbon/Suede, and Dynamics Package.

Among the unique exterior features of the Dodge Challenger Shakedown are the iconic cold-air-grabbing Mopar Shaker hood, Mopar Shaker intake, “Shaker” underhood decal, Red “392” fender graphics, “Shakedown” spoiler graphic, Shakedown stripe with red accent, Black “Challenger” grille badge, R/T grille badge, 20-by-9.5-inch Low Gloss Black Slingshot wheels, and 20-by-11-inch Carbon Warp Speed wheel. The special-edition model also comes with red six-piston Brembo brakes.

Inside, the Dodge Challenger Shakedown is equipped with a “Shakedown” instrument panel badge; premium Black Nappa/Alcantara seats with red stitching; red interior accent stitching on instrument panel, console, steering wheel, and seats; and Demonic Red seatbelts.

Three heritage exterior colors will also make their comeback in the 2023 lineup. These include B5 Blue, Plum Crazy purple, and Sublime green. The 2023 Charger and Challenger will be available in 14 total exterior color options.

The next Last Call model will be revealed on August 31.
