Electric bus service now ply SM Megamall to SM Fairview route

MANILA: In Ortigas, a sustainable transportation option has emerged for people traveling to Metro Manila's northern regions.

The company that runs electric buses, Global Electric Transport (GET), already has a route that connects SM Megamall with SM City Fairview and the other way around. More than a dozen checkpoints are located along the 27 kilometer-long route.

Trips for GET's SM Electric Bus service can conveniently be paid for via an app. On their cellphones, users must download the GETPass app and set up an account. They can then sign up with the "SM Electric Bus" organization. After that, a QR code will be generated for users to scan as they enter and exit the service.

While the first trip from SM Megamall departs at 8:30 a.m., the earliest journey from Fairview leaves at 5:30 a.m. At 10:50 p.m. and 5:30 p.m the final trip departs for SM Fairview and Megamall, respectively. The total cost of a trip is P100; P25 is added to the fee for each significant stop the bus passes.
