MANILA: Foton Traveller has maintained its reputation of a reliable and comfy vehicle ever since its launch in 2015. And now, it’s time to explore a hidden natural gem, the Balesin Island with this powerful Foton’s Cummins-powered Traveller van.

Balesin Island Club recently came up with the idea of using the Traveller van for transferring the guests or tourists to their preferred location during the island tours. Owned by Alpha land, this 500-hectare island is located in Lamon Bay, Philipines. Villages here are inspired by different world-class destinations like Toscana in Italy, Costa del Sol in Spain, Mykonos in Greece, St. Tropez in France, Phuket in Thailand and Bali in Indonesia. The club grows their own vegetables, fruits and herbs in farms and uses electric golf carts to visit the island to reduce carbon footprints.

Talking about the Traveller, it comes with different seating patterns for up to 16 people and the passengers are treated with ultimate comfort and space. The seating configuration is based on the bucket seat concept so that each passenger could be provided with his/her own space. There is also a wide cargo space for keeping luggage and also a bubble top which allows more headroom. The Traveller is equipped with accessories such as USB ports, four speakers, an MP3 & CD player and auxiliary connectors to make the trip more entertaining.

The Traveller is powered by a 2.8-litre 16-valve Cummins ISF turbo diesel engine which can churn out 130 PS of maximum power and 280 Nm of peak torque. The van comes with fog lamps, dual airbags, power steering, keyless entry, central locking system and power windows as well. The safety features include ABS and electronic brake distribution system. It is also equipped with a tailgate mirror and parking sensors to help in parking.
