EVAP, Binalot give food to DOTr frontliners
MANILA: Despite the lockdown, it is very important to keep mobile, strong, and well-supplied the people who are manning the frontlines of this fight against COVID-19.
In connection, the Department of Transportation has mobilized drivers and conductors, police escorts, military escorts, LTO, LTFRB and I-ACT personnel to come up with free shuttle services for healthcare workers and other frontliners.
Also, in a release, the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) lauded the DOTr effort, and noted that "many private transport companies such as Mitsubishi dealership Diamond Motors, Isuzu dealership Inteco, Hino Motors, PilipinasAutogroup, and Gazelle Motors have (also) provided PUVs (public utility vehicles) for free use."
EVAP has also partnered with local Filipino fastfood chain Binalot to provide free meals for the "200-strong personnel from different organizations that support this DOTr initiative. It has pledged almost 3,000 meal packages for this DOTr project."
