Experience the Honda Sensing in virtual reality at PIMS 2018
MANILA: Every other car manufacturer is bringing out their own safety packages. The recent safety packages boast some serious technology and even come equipped with AI at times. But these features most of the time are limited to the top level variants, and everyone cannot possibly have their hands on them. This time around, showing off their top of the line safety features is Honda. The Japanese manufacturer has come up with a unique way of letting everyone experience their advanced safety system.
We all have been fascinated by the concept of virtual reality, especially when it comes to gaming. But virtual reality has always been way more than just gaming. And proving the fact, Honda has capitalised on the exciting technology by setting up a VR booth at the 2018 PIMS.
The Honda Sensing virtual booth combines basic car controls with VR tech. Put the VR headset on and you are taken inside the CR-V cabin. Then you can have a full-on experience of the 6 key Honda Sensing features without even sitting in a real car. The 3D world will take you through the Honda Sensing features like Lane Keep Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Low Speed Follow, Forward Collision Warning, and Road Departure Mitigation.
In case you want the real deal, you will need to shell out Php 2,125,000 and get a Honda CR-V 1.6 SX AWD. The aforementioned CR-V with the safety package is also on display at the PIMS 2018. Along with the VR experience booth and the CR-V, Honda has also showcased some other vehicles like the first Philippines assembled BR-V, the Brio, the City, and the Civic Type R as well.
