Falken PH rolls out track-focused Azenis RT615k+, RT660 tires

MANILA: JM Far East, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Falken Tires in the Philippines, introduced to the market its newest line of 200-Treadwear tires: the Azenis RT615k+ and RT660.

Launched in response to the growing demand of serious car and track enthusiasts, the Falken Azenis RT615k+ and RT660 were recently presented at at the Clark International Speedway (CIS).

The launch coincided with the track day hosted by JM Far East, Inc, with over 100 racers and car enthusiasts from different parts of the country lapping around the CIS and put the Falken Azenis tires through their paces.

The RT615k+ is derived from the original competition-winning RT615k. The Plus variant is the latest version and uses a digitally engineered, nanotech-formulated compound enhancement for superior grip and excellent handling.

Aside from delivering exemplary performance, the tire offers a high tread life to allow longer usage. The Azenis RT615k+ is also street-legal, saving drivers the trouble of replacing tires before track day.

The RT660 positions itself as the only choice for drivers chasing the ultimate lap time. Falken’s new rigid carcass construction enhances steering response and vehicle stability, while the motorsports-inspired tread compound provides unmatched grip for those who prioritize peak performance above all else. The RT660 is also street-legal, offering optimum convenience and efficiency.

In the Falken event, 2014 Toyota Vios Cup and 2018 Formula V1 champion Luis Gono set a new lap time record with his Toyota GR Yaris using Falken’s Azenis RT660 tires. After doing hot laps around the CIS, Luis succeeded in posting the best time of 2:08.267 minutes, breaking his personal track records, JM Far East shared. 

JM Far East, Inc. President Winston Manabat revealed that the company brought in the 200 Treadwear tires as more automobile manufacturers are now offering vehicles with more potent engines and higher horsepower and torque numbers.

The Azenis 200 Treadwear tires will allow enthusiasts to get the most out of their cars and enjoy their vehicles even more, both on and off the race tracks, the company president added. 

The Azenis RT615k+ and RT660 tires are offered in 15-to 19-inch sizes and are now available for pre-order at all authorized Falken dealerships.
