Ferrari’s 75th anniversary celebration in Goodwood highlighted by 5 UK dynamic debuts

MANILA: Ferrari marked its 75th anniversary by taking part in this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The celebration included a spectacular Ferrari parade and an amazing exhibition of significant and historic Prancing Horse vehicles that represented some of the brand's most iconic moments in history. Five modern Ferrari models also made their UK dynamic debuts.

The "75 Years of Ferrari" journey began with the 1947 125S, the first ever road car to bear the Ferrari badge, and continued with the stunning and highly successful 250 LM. The story then continued with legendary race cars like the 156 "Sharknose" and the Ferrari 333 SP endurance racer, and finally with the modern Ferrari Challenge 488 evo. The Ferrari Classiche department in Maranello, which provides restoration and authentication of Ferrari cars at least 20 years old, generously supported the anniversary display. It uses all the original documents, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure that each Ferrari certified by the department is authentic and true to the original.

The most iconic Ferrari cars in the festival came together for a remarkable group shot and parade on the renowned Goodwood hillclimb on Friday afternoon, capping off the Ferrari 75th Anniversary celebration. The Daytona SP3, the 125S, and the Scuderia Ferrari F2009 Formula 1, piloted by Ferrari Driver Marc Gene, made up a beautiful lineup that delighted every Ferrari fan. In addition, Ferrari honored Nigel Mansell, a legendary Formula One driver also known as Il Leone, who was reunited with his iconic No. 27 Ferrari 639 F1.

Ferrari once again had a stunning collection of vehicles on display at the Supercar Paddock, five of which were making their UK dynamic debuts.

The 296 GTB provided the overture for the quintet, with the breathtaking sound of the first V6 to bear the Prancing Horse emblem. The vehicle was displayed in an unique livery that was inspired by the historic livery of Colonel Ronnie Hoare's Maranello Concessionaires racing team from the 1960s and 1970s.

The twin-turbo V8 of the Ferrari SP38, a one-off car that borrowed many of its design elements from some of the brand's most famous sports cars such as the F40, added to the symphony.

The most powerful Ferrari spider ever built, the SF90 Spider, enhanced the concerto with a twin-turbo V8 that has a class-leading power output of 780cv and is linked to three electric motors that deliver an additional 220cv.

The 812 Competizione, an exclusive limited series car based on the award-winning 812 Superfast, joined the crescendo, with the distinctive and aggressive sound of its improved version of the latest naturally-aspirated Ferrari V12 engine, which is able to generate the enormous amount of 830cv.

The Red Dot "Best of the Best" Design award winner, the Daytona SP3, named after the 24 Hours of Daytona and inspired by the styling of the classic endurance race cars of the 1960s such the 330 P3 and P4, brought the grand finale to a close.

Another iconic Ferrari, the Monza SP2, which was inspired by Ferrari barchettas from the 1950s, and the 2+2 granturismo front-engined V8, the Ferrari Roma, which personifies the La Nuova Dolce Vita lifestyle in Italy, completed the orchestra of Ferrari cars.

Lastly, the most exclusive Ferrari track-focused program, the Corse Clienti XX Program, was represented by the 599XX Evo and the FXX-K Evo.
