Firms to cut oil prices this week
Adjustments not more than P0.45/L
MANILA: Fuel companies in the Philippines shall reduce this week’s prices at the pump — the second downward adjustment for the month of August this year.

The price movements will become effective tomorrow (August 6).Based on their respective advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petron, Seaoil, and Unioil shall trim down the retail price of gasoline products by P0.10 per liter and diesel by P0.20 per liter.
In addition, Caltex, Petron, and Seaoil are poised to cut down the pricing on kerosene by P0.45 per liter.
The movements in the prices, which other companies are expected to similarly implement, will take effect tomorrow (August 6, 2024).
Last week, gasoline products went down by P.075 per liter, diesel by P0.85 per liter, and kerosene by P0.80 per liter.
