Ford F-Series is America’s best-selling truck for 47 consecutive years

MANILA: The Ford F-Series has emerged as the best-selling truck in the United States (US) in 2023.

Over 700,000 F-Series trucks were sold in the US last year, making it the segment’s leader for the 47th consecutive year.

“F-Series is a testament to our commitment to excellence, innovation, and understanding the needs of our customers. Our trucks are ‘Built Ford Tough,’ and they embody the strength, reliability, and versatility that our customers have come to rely on for nearly half a century,” Ford US Sales Director Robert Kaffl stated.

The F-Series embodies the best of Ford and the new digital experience offered by the American automaker. It has innovative features like Bluecruise hands-free highway driving and Pro Power Onboard that helps supply power to homes or work sites when there is a power outage.

According to Kaffl, one factor that contributed to the truck’s success in 2023 was its wide range of powertrain options that include internal combustion engine as well as hybrid and all-electric powertrains.

The F-150 Powerboost Hybrid also became the best-selling full-size full-hybrid pickup truck in America in 2023, while the fully electric F-150 Lightning emerged as the top-selling full-size electric pickup truck.

“Looking forward, we are excited to begin production of the new 2024 gas and hybrid F-150 models early in the year. Our unwavering focus on growth across gas, hybrid, and electric models in 2024 reflects our promise to offer a truck for every customer – one that fits seamlessly into their lifestyle,” Kaffl said.

To note, Ford Philippines then brought a diesel-fed F-150 in the local market back in 2021 but has been pulled out from its roster afterwards.
