MANILA: According to a Ford analysis of registration data from S&P Global Mobility, the Ford Mustang, which celebrates its 59th birthday, is the best-selling sports car in the world over the past 10 years combined.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Which market has the strongest demand for Ford Mustang?

The United States has the strongest demand for Ford Mustang, representing 78% of global sales.
  • Which markets saw growth in Ford Mustang sales in 2022?

Sales of Ford Mustang rose in Germany, Britain, Switzerland, and the Middle East in 2022.
  • “We’re proud of the entire Mustang family, what it represents to Ford and especially our passionate Mustang owners and fans. It’s our commitment to serving Mustang’s global community, from Atlanta to Adelaide and beyond, that has earned Mustang the honor of world’s best-selling sports car for 10 years combined,” Ford Blue Vice President of Enthusiast Vehicles Dave Bozeman stated.

Ford internal data indicates that 78% of global sales of the Ford Mustang are from the United States. Sales of the Ford Mustang also rose in several markets in 2022, including Germany (+17.0%), Britain (+14.4%), Switzerland (+14.9%), and the Middle East (+7.4%).

The all-new, seventh-generation 2024 Ford Mustang, which recently went on sale in the US, adds a new chapter to an icon. The Ford Mustang offers a wide range of options at various pricing points and performance levels.

The Ford Mustang has two new engines: a 2.3-liter EcoBoost and the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 for the Ford Mustang GT.  The new Remote Rev feature gives the ability to remotely rev the engine using the key fob.

The Ford Mustang Dark Horse expands the lineup as the first new performance name for the brand since Ford Mustang Bullitt debuted in 2001. It aims to set a new standard for both street and track performance that can only be achieved by a Mustang with menacing looks and a specially modified 5.0-liter V8 that produces 500 horsepower.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV, the newest electric Mustang, is now available in 39 countries, with recent launches in Taiwan and Australia. Since the model's launch over two years ago, Ford has produced its 150,000th Mustang Mach-E, a notable milestone as the company ramps up electric vehicle production to 600,000 units annually by late 2023 and more than two million annually by 2026.
