Ford PH enjoys YTD sales 42% growth in Jan.-Sep. 2023

MANILA: Ford Philippines revealed that it has enjoyed a 42-percent sales increase in the first nine months of 2023.

Per the Blue Oval brand's local arm , it retailed a total of 23,091 vehicles in January-September 2023. In September alone, Ford Philippines also had its highest monthly retail performance — surpassing, last May's sales record.

According to Ford Philippines, its best-selling model for the said period was the Ranger. The pick-up truck made up 22 percent of its overall sales in the first three quarters of the year with 9,113 units delivered.

Further, the aforementioned model also reclaimed its leadership in the 4x4 pickup truck segment with 4,396 units sold in the aforementioned period, allowing the company to corner a 38-percent market share.

Likewise, the Ford Territory maintained its leadership in the country’s crossover segment as it held 46-percent share of the market. Its sales grew by eight percent with the carmaker’s local wing achieving a total of 6,955 examples rolled out from January to September 2023.

The Ford Everest continues to etch its mark in the Philippine sport utility vehicle (SUV) category after becoming the second best-selling model in the segment. Per Ford Philippines, it handed over 6,693 units of the Everest to clients in the first nine months of the year. The aforementioned figure reflected a 255-percent increase compared to the previous year’s records.

In September, the Ford Everest sold 1,254 units, emerging as the top-selling mid-size SUV in the country for the said month.
