Ford PH rolls out Mobile Service Vehicle program

MANILA: In a bid to bolster the aftersales and ownership experience of its customers, Ford Motor Company Philippines today rolled out the Mobile Service Vehicle (MSV).

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Where can customers book MSV appointments?

Customers can book MSV appointments by ging to Ford Philippines' website.
  • How much will an MSV appointment cost?

A quotation for the servicing of a Ford vehicle will be shown on the website with a breakdown of the parts, fluid, and labor costs.
  • Per American automotive brand's local arm, MSV — also known as the Ford Mobile Service in other markets — is considered a facility on the go.

Capable of accommodating “more than 70 percent of vehicle repairs” (and catering anywhere from six to eight units), MSV aims to make vehicle servicing more convenient for Ford customers.

“In our first event of the year, we showcase our commitment to enhance the ownership experience because at Ford, we take pride not just in the power and performance of our vehicles but also with our continued effort to provide our customers with reliable and convenient services,” Ford Philippines President and Managing Director Pedro Simoes said.

“This year, we are committed to continue the journey in elevating the Ford ownership experience with another new innovation that brings service and convenience to our customers — Mobile Service Vehicle, or as we call it, MSV,” he added.

“MSV will provide customers with a convenient option to service their vehicles at specific locations while receiving the same quality and expertise that only a Ford technician, using Ford tools, and Ford genuine parts can offer you… MSV ensures that maintenance happens at the time and place that suits the customer — not what suits us, what suits the customers — that’s important, it’s about convenience,” the company's’ head honcho noted.

Here are some of the services customers can expect from MSV:

    • Oil changes
    • Wiper replacements
    • Multi-point inspection
    • Tire rotation
    • Wheel balancing
    • Brake services
    • Battery services
    • Filter replacement
    • Light bulb replacement
    • Fluid replacement
    • Software updates

    How it works

Ford vehicle owners can book an appointment online through the company’s website. There, they can enter their vehicle details, their preferred date and time of appointment, as well as the type of maintenance their automobile needs.

After filling out the necessary fields, owners will be given a service quotation with a breakdown of the parts and fluids to be replaced as well as the cost of labor.

Once accomplished, they will be provided with a reference number, which they can use to check (or make changes to) their appointment.

To showcase how MSV actually works Ford Motor Company Philippines tapped a Territory owner to have a team perform a 20,000-kilometer periodic maintenance service on his small sport utility vehicle.

Simulating an actual MSV appointment, a mobile service unit was set up at San Lorenzo Village Clubhouse in Makati City where Vishal Chandiramani — the owner of the Ford Territory — lives.

“I love how I can now get my periodic maintenance service done without having to worry about how it will fit my busy schedule. I can have my Ford Territory serviced by Ford technicians at my place of residence even with a full day of meetings and I get to spend weekends with my family. The MSV is definitely a game-changer as it brings Ford’s brand of quality service closer to its customers,” he said.

    Solution for fleets

While it works well for busy private passenger car owners, Ford’s MSV also comes in as an appealing solution for fleet operators.

Ford Philippines Customer Service Division Director Joyce Laxamana told Zigwheels Philippines that MSV can help fleet managers save time in maintaining their vehicles.

“If it’s going to be fleet cars, it will be very good. Because (with) one-stop, you will be able to service a number of vehicles. It saves you time in terms of going back and forth to the dealership — that’s also the intent, it’s all about convenience,” she said to the author.

Ford MSV has been in operation in other markets such as Thailand, India, South Africa, and Vietnam. In 2024, some 370,000 Ford owners have taken advantage of the service. Likewise, dealers in the said regions said that MSV has enhanced customer satisfaction and loyalty.

“The Ford Mobile Service Vehicle is more than a service. It’s our commitment to keep customers moving with confidence. With our fleet of Ford Mobile Service Vehicles, expert and quality vehicle care is now made easier, more accessible and definitely more convenient,” Laxamana was quoted saying.
