Ford Philippines Recorded a Growth Rate of 52% this February
MANILA: The ecstatic run for the blue oval brand has continued in 2016 too. After the completion of a successful 2015 where Ford outclassed the likes of Mitsubishi and Honda in terms of sales gaining itself a crown as a top-selling brand, the company has performed exceptionally well in the month of February, 2016 as well.
Ford Philippines announced the year to year 52% rise in sales for the month of February 2016 and you won’t be surprised to hear the number of vehicles it managed to sell last month. A total of 2,671 units were sold by the Ford Philippines and contributing to its success were the models that have foot hold their respective segments including All-new Everest, Ford Ranger and Ford EcoSport.
The new Everest has contributed with 1,234 units while the tough, sturdy pickup, Ford Ranger sales saw a rise to 535 units for the month of February. Ford Ecosport also joined the party with a total of 610 units whereas Mustang and Explorer registered a comprehensive sales number of 42 and 118 units respectively.
The growth sales chart isn’t limited to just Ford camp but the overall Philippines auto market saw a significant rise in the month of February, 2016. As a whole, it registered a hike of 21.7% as compared to the same period of the last year.
The Managing Director of Ford Philippines, Mr. Lance Mosley said in a statement, “The Philippines’ healthy economy and positive consumer sentiment are helping drive continuing demand for Ford vehicles, particularly our SUVs and Ranger pickup. With an expanded dealer network, we’ve also been able to make the Ford brand more accessible to customers across the country.”
