Foton Academy continues support for scholars in auto servicing training

MANILA: Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) stays true to its commitment of empowering Filipinos with reliable mobility by providing quality vocational education at Foton Academy.

In a statement, FMPI President Rommel Sytin said, “We are driven to advance the skills of our fellowmen and aspire to be enablers of strong mobility, which is how we aim to empower Filipinos through Foton Academy.”

Foton has partnered with the Pampanga Manpower Training Center (PMTC) to provide deserving citizens with new sets of skills under a six-month training program at Foton Academy. Enrollees are guaranteed to receive quality education without having to pay for tuition fees or miscellaneous expenses.

“Ngayong nandyan yung Foton Motors, na-upgrade kami, kumbaga nagkaroon kami ng advanced technology na pwede naming maibahagi sa mga trainings natin (Now that Foton Motors has partnered with us, we have upgraded our skills with advanced technology that we can tackle in our trainings),” PMTC Administrative Officer Wilmie Nichols stated.

The first batch of vocational scholars has graduated from the academy and honed skills relevant to the automotive industry. All participants who completed the program have acquired the Automotive Servicing National Certificate (NC) II. The graduates are guaranteed employment at the FMPI Assembly Plant in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

This program of FMPI, PMTC, and Pampanga Provincial Government serves as a long-term solution in combating the decreasing employment rate brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

With its commitment to support the growth of the economy and manufacturing industry, FMPI has also organized various corporate social programs during the pandemic for national and local development and for the welfare of the Filipinos.
