Foton extends its reach further, opens showroom in Bacoor

MANILA: On February 13 2019, the day prior to Valentine’s, Foton inaugurated its 28th dealership in the country. Located in Bacoor, the showroom is the second Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) facility in the Cavite province.

Rommel Sytin, the President of FMPI said, “The grand opening of Foton Bacoor is the latest proof point in the ongoing expansion of our dealer network. It also supports our aggressive growth and commitment to deliver a consistent and world-class customer and ownership experience in both rural and urban areas across the country”.

The new facility is not just a mere showroom. And this can be justified by recognising the fact that the 2,500 square meter facility features 10 service bays designed for passenger and commercial vehicles, display and repair area exclusive for heavy-duty trucks,

and completely-furnished vehicle showroom displaying all the Foton offerings. The move of bringing another Foton dealership at the location - Boulevard in Barangay Niog III is strategical as economic zones emphasising on food processing, pharmaceuticals, and agribusinesses are accommodated in Cavite.

Alphamile Automotive Dealers Inc. has also joined the fleet of first-timers as Absolute Advantage Inc. (Foton La Union) and SteeringWheel Inc. (Foton Puerto Princesa) did not have any prior automobile business experience either. “Our team is truly grateful for the opportunity to offer more of our products and services in Bacoor.

The market demand for commercial vehicles outside the National Capital Region is expected to grow even further in the coming years. Having said that, it is our responsibility to reach out and provide our products and services that will make it more accessible and convenient to our customers, wherever they are located”, said Rommel Sytin.

Foton is currently ranked as 9th biggest automobile player in the Philippines. The feat is even more delightful for the manufacturer as it has only been 12 years since it entered the country. With 28 dealerships already up & running across the geography of the Philippines, Foton further targets to operate 34 facilities by the end of 2019. Places like Iloilo, Congressional Avenue, Pasig, Metro Clark, Bacolor, and Tagbilaran are next on Foton’s list of places to conquer.

What should help Foton in the future in boosting its business in the country is the PUV Modernization Program. Due to this program, the demand for light commercial vehicles, light-duty trucks, and medium & heavy duty trucks will be increasing in future for infrastructure projects by the government of the Philippines.
