Foton Marks full attendance @ MIAS 2016

MANILA: The ongoing 12th Manila International Auto Show is the hub of all the renowned automakers these days. Inaugurated 8th of April, the show will conclude on 10th instant with some highly-anticipated launches and showcases. The Chinese automaker Foton has also marked its presence at the event along with fellow brands. Though the company is not launching any new model or update of the existing fleet, but it was indeed interesting to have it on the grounds of MIAS 2016 with the 2015 models. With just a 2 decades of history in the automotive industry, the company has framed its name among the prospering brands and the presence at the 2016 MIAS will surely help it in gaining more popularity. We are not sure about the strategy this brand has come up to attract the prospective customers at the auto show and hope that it offers some great deals and discount to elevate its booking numbers during the event itself.

Foton Toplander 2016

Foton Toplander is a 7-seater SUV which show-offs its capabilities on tough terrains with 4x4 drive layout. Since the brand is known for producing heavy machinery, you can expect toughness from the new Toplander 2016 also. The big SUV is offered in 2 trims with a sole engine worth 2.8-litre. This turbo diesel engine pumps out 160 hp of power at 4000 rpm and 360 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm. Along with a robust structure, the new Toplander flaunts a decent cabin with aspects like manual air-conditioning unit and power windows. A basic entertainment facility consisting AM/FM radio, USB connectivity, AUX, GPS and Bluetooth is also provided to make the journeys fun. At safety front, Toplander is equipped with dual front airbags, vehicle immobilizer, Anti-Lock Braking System and Electronic Brake-Force Distribution.

2016 Foton Toano

Another entry in Foton fleet for the MIAS 2016 is the Foton Toano 2016 which is a 15-seater van with ample space and aspects under its label. Packed with a 2.8-litre turbo diesel unit this drive delivers a maximum power of 130 hp along with a maximum torque of 360 Nm. With its 6-speed manual transmission, the new Toano is decently efficient on the road. One interesting thing about this drive is its styling which is done by the Merc- Sprinter car design team for Foton. Garnished with chrome accents on its front grille, fog lamps and LED turning signals, the overall exterior looks decent enough for a big passenger van. This powerful, affordable, spacious and versatile drive is available in 3 vibrant colors and is a house of some essential safety aspects including ABS and EBD.

Foton Transvan 2016

Foton Transvan 2016 is a 15-seater drive by the Chinese manufacturer which is commonly used for commercial purpose. To power this vehicle, a 2.8-litre turbo CRDi engine has been plotted under its hood which churns out 90 hp of power at 3600 rpm and 25 Nm of torque between 1800 and 2000 rpm. Mated with 5-speed manual transmission, Transvan is a quite comfortable drive on the road. The dimensions carried by this vehicle to accommodate 15 passengers with utmost comfort are 5050 mm x 2030 mm x 1980 mm ( L X W X H) along with wheelbase counting to 2570 mm. The cabin comes packed with front and rear air conditioning facility, power windows, power locks and a decent entertainment unit. Keeping the safety aspect in mind, Transvan is blessed with Anti-Lock Braking System and Electronic Brake-Force Distribution.

2016 Foton Traveller

The last entry from Foton at the MIAS 2016 is Foton Traveller 2016 which is basically a passenger vehicle which can also be used for commercial purpose. Available in 15-seater and 18-seater configuration, the Traveller carries a boxy design which would initially not appeal anyone who is looking for a passenger vehicle, but then considering its capacity and aspects, the looks can be easily ignored. The big drive is powered by a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine which knocks out 130 hp of power at 3600 rpm along with 280 Nm of torque between 1400 and 3000 rpm. This sole engine is mated with 5-speed manual transmission to enhance the efficiency and performance of this drive. The key features portrait by Traveller are a keyless entry, high mount third brake lamp, power locks, and halogen lamps. The cabin has decent cloth-wrapped upholstery and an entertainment unit comprising AUX, USB connectivity and CD player along with 4 speakers at different corners. For safety purpose, dual airbags at the front, Anti-Lock Braking System and Electronic Brake-force Distribution features are given to the new Traveller.
