Foton PH partners with Pampanga gov’t to offer auto skills training

MANILA: Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) has partnered with the provincial government of Pampanga to conduct an automotive skills training program that will be followed by a guaranteed employment.

In a statement, FMPI President Rommel Sytin said, “We will train (participants) to acquire knowledge in electronics and other new technologies aligned with the automotive industry; this is our way of giving back.”

The six-month training program will be held at the Pampanga Manpower Training Center, which is a technical vocational training center managed by Pampanga provincial government. The program will serve as a training ground in acquiring proficiency in the automotive industry to help the students land jobs as a heavy equipment operator, driver, or automotive mechanic around Pampanga and other Central Luzon provinces.

Pampanga Provincial Public Employment Service Office Head Luningning Vergara expressed gratitude to Foton in helping the province to develop a long-term solution for the unemployment issues in the province.
