Foton View Traveller XL coming soon in the local market

MANILA: Foton has made a significant position in the big multi-purpose vans segment and it is eyeing on its consistent growth. Looking at the growing demand for big vans, Foton is all set to introduce the bigger version of its View Traveller. Yes, a 19-seater version of View Traveller with XL marking will be soon launched in the country, which will serve as the biggest model in the company’s lineup.

As it is designed to accommodate 19 people, it is longer than the standard View Traveller van and features a different set of seat layout. To ensure optimum cabin space, it has the same high-roof body with appropriate leg room in all the rows. All the standard features of the View Traveller can be expected in the XL, with more details to be revealed soon by the manufacturer.

Powering this longer version is a 2.8-litre Cummins IFS SOHC turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine that has the potential to deliver a maximum power output of 130 PS at 3600 rpm and peak torque of 280 Nm at 1400 rpm. The engine is further mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is expected that Foton will also introduce new automatic transmission in the XL just like the one found in 2018 Tolander A/T  at a later stage.

Although the units are ready to be offered to the public, Foton Philippines has scheduled the commencement of the sales by December. The official pricing of the Foton View Traveller XL will be revealed around the launch.
