Foton’s Big Show 2015- What all Foton has Got for the Philippines?
MANILA: Foton Philippines recently launched their first-ever SUV, the Toplander at the 2015 Big Show in World Trade Center – Pasay City. Lead by the Foton PH CEO Rommel Sytin, the company CEO thanked all its dealers and customers for bringing Foton where it is now, with Foton Philippines achieving 52% growth this year and targeting 55% growth next year by expanding their dealership network all around the Philippines. Sytin also announced that Foton PH is ready for the implementation of Euro IV emission standards as early as January 2016 and that the first vehicle to roll-out from its assembly plant in Clark Freeport will be in December 2015.
During the event, three (3) vehicles were launched by Foton. The Gratour Mini-van, Toano, and the much awaited Toplander. Propelled by a 1.2L gas engine which has 112 Nm of torque, the Gratour could seat 7 or 8 persons with price starting at PhP 490,000. Toano is designed by the same team who created the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and can seat up to 18 persons comfortably. Powered by 2.8L Cummins ISF Engine, it promises to be a comfortable people carrier with humongous space inside for the passengers. Price starts at PhP 1,688,000. And the most awaited Toplander - launched with 4x2 and 4x4 variants – the first ever midsize SUV of Foton will be very tempting and persuasive offering in the market with prices starting at PhP 998,000. It marks all the checkboxes that most Filipinos would love to have in a family car including Space, Power, Utility and Convenience.
