MANILA: Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) has completed the girder installation for the Cavitex C5 Link R-1 Interchange.

The Cavitex C5 Link R-1 Interchange is slated to open in the first quarter of 2024.Slated to open in the first quarter of 2024, the Cavitex C5 Link R-1 Interchange will provide a direct link between Cavitex R-1 (Coastal Road) and Sucat Road in Parañaque City, cutting travel times by 10 minutes.
The R-1 Interchange is a 1.9-kilometer (km) segment of the Cavitex C5 Link, a 7.7-km, 2x3 lane expressway that connects Cavitex R-1 to C5 Road in Taguig.
The Cavitex C5 Link is expected to reduce travel times to and from Makati and Taguig from Parañaque City, Las Piñas City, and Cavite, thereby alleviating traffic congestion in Metro Manila. It is expected to serve 50,000 motorists per day.
CIC is a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road development arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC). Aside from Cavitex and Cavitex C5 Link, MPTC also owns the concessions for Cavite-Laguna Expressway, North Luzon Expressway, Subic-Clark Tarlac Expressway, NLEX Connector Road, and Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway.
