HARI to unveil latest Chevrolet Captiva soon?

Hariphil Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI) shall unveil a new vehicle next month and it could possibly be the all-new Chevrolet Captiva.

In a statement, the latest Chevrolet distributor in the country showed the upcoming model’s front quarter panel, which was called a “crossover-MPV (multi-purpose vehicle).

HARI has yet to announce the upcoming vehicle's specifications, which will be revealed on October 18.

“Built for explorers, dreamers, and families of every kind, this vehicle offers a combination of flexible space, premium comfort, and advanced functionality—perfect for big adventures, while remaining practical and fuel-efficient for everyday use,” the company noted.

Without sharing its full details yet, here are some facts given by the Golden Bowtie marque’s local arm that led to such a hunch.

The arriving model has a turbocharged mill with an advanced suspension system. that gives it the sporty excitement of a crossover and a smooth, stable ride of an MPV.

Outside, it wears a slim front illumination (as seen in the photo shared by the vehicle distributor), a sculpted exterior, and panoramic sunroof (mentioned in the press release).

For its cabin, the vehicle is outfitted with a multi-function steering wheel, an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-ready infotainment system, and seven-seater configuration.

In addition, the company said that the forthcoming offering is packed with the latest in safety and driver assistance technologies.

After comparing the photo and the bits of information at hand with the Chevrolet’s models overseas, Zigwheels Philippines came up with the conclusion that the soon-to-be-revealed model will be the Captiva.

In the Middle East, the Chevrolet Captiva is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine mated to a continuous variable transmission. The powertrain can deliver up to 144 horsepower.

Its top-of-the-line option has a panoramic sunroof with sunshade, a 10.4-inch infotainment System that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible, and a steering wheel with audio and cruise control functions.

The Philippine-spec Chevrolet Captiva will likely arrive in 18-inch wheels as in other countries and might be fitted with a luggage rack, cluster gauge (3.5 to seven-inch in size), and three USB ports, with the infotainment system mated to a four- or six-speaker set-up.

Its host of safety and driver assistive technologies will likely include  the following:
