HCPI to Represent Asia and Oceania at Honda World Skills Contest in October
MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) won the Service Advisor category of this year's Honda Asia and Oceania Skills Contest held last May 17 at Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Malacca City, Malaysia.

The category also showcased the application of cutting-edge equipment that accurately determines vehicle issues and provide repair recommendations.
Elijah Dave Villan of Honda Cars Makati, Inc. raised the Philippine flag high as the Service Advisor category champion. Villan has been working for Honda Cars Makati, Inc. as a technician since 2016.
The skills contest is a program for dealer service associates in all countries where Honda operates.
It aims to demonstrate their skills and encourage them to comply with global best practices for service quality.
Aside from Villan, four other Filipinos represented the country at the recently held Honda Asia and Oceania Skills Contest, after emerging as the top performers at the 23rd National Skills Contest hosted by HCPI last February.
Arnel Joyosa of Honda Cars Alabang and Froilan Lacsama of Honda Cars Manila Bay represented HCPI in the General Repair category.
Meanwhile, Romel Cruzante and Elario Cepcon Honda Cars Manila Bay participated in the Periodic Maintenance category.
“The skills competition is among Honda’s initiatives to ensure superior customer satisfaction through our dealers and their dedicated staff who are our partners. Through national, regional, and global contests, dealer associates advance their technical and service skills,” HCPI President Rie Miyake stated.
“The program also gives them more joy at work because it widens their perspective on the importance of what they do, and how they genuinely help promote quality and safety while providing service,” she added.
