Here's what to expect at the 11th PH EV Summit
MANILA: The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) has kicked off the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

EV displays
Participating brands will be exhibiting their electrified models at the event, allowing attendees to see these sustainable mobility solutions up close and personal.
Among the brands that will join the three-day summit are Nissan, BYD, GWM, Chery, Hyundai, MG, Lotus, Hongqi, Jetour, Foton, Mitsubishi, Lotus, Dongfeng, and WM Motor.
Hatasu will also be showcasing its electric two- and three-wheeled models at the event.
EV launches
Aside from the EV displays, some of the participating brands will also be launching new EV models. BYD unveiled the Atto3 electrified sport utility vehicle (SUV), while Lotus will officially launch the Eletre hyper SUV in the Philippines. The GWM Ora 03 electric hatchback also makes its public debut at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.
Chery Auto Philippines also announced that it will be introducing two purely electric and one plug-in hybrid models at the event.
Panel discussions
There will be panel discussions on the first two days of the summit that will tackle the sustainable mobility innovations in the Philippines. Among the discussants and resource persons are engineering and transportation experts, government officials, and EV manufacturer executives.
UNIDO project launch
EVAP President Edmund Araga announced that the group will launch its United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) project at the event. This project is expected to fast-track the adoption of electric mobility for low-carbon city development.
