Honda BR-V Makes a Global Debut at GIIAS 2015
MANILA: The most awaited show, Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2015 is here with all new cars launches and facelifts debuts. The platform is popular and the right one to witness the debut of Honda BR-V Crossover.
This Crossover was much awaited and is really not far off from its sketches which was released two months ago. The BR-V comes with Honda's Solid Wing Face grill and tougher clamshell design hood. The front is bolder with character lines flowing till fog light housings. The rear shows LED tail lights and the side profile has prominent character lines. Adding to its tougher looks, are the spoiler and chrome roof rails. The 16-inch alloy wheels on four corners further complete its exterior looks.
The prime interiors of the BR-V feature body hugging seats with adjustable support and all controls being practically placed so that the driver can operate them easily while driving. The third-row seat split in the ratio of 50/50, create more space for the luggage. The trendy crossover interior layout is found here also with a Multi-Infotainment Display and rear air conditioning vents for the passengers at the back.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine which is capable to churn out maximum power of 88 kW at 6600 rpm and maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4600 rpm. When coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission, the engine is efficient enough to give a decent fuel economy. For the safety, the BR-V is equipped with ABS and EBD along with Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start assist, and ISOFIX mountings.
With production to be started in Indonesia factory by January 2016, the BR-V would be available in 6 captivating body paints; Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Green Pearl, Passion Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, and Taffeta White.
