Honda Cars PH awarded No.1 in J.D. Power 2019 Sales Satisfaction Index Study
MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) was recognized by J.D. Power as the No.1 in the 2019 Sales Satisfaction Index Study. The award was handed over to HCPI during a ceremony held last September 19, 2019, at HCPI’s plant and head office in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. The ceremony was attended by HCPI assistant vice president Koki Hattori, general manager of sales division and spokesperson Atty. Louie Soriano, general manager of dealer business division Noel Barachina, and J.D. Power regional director of automotive practice Shantanu Nandi Majumdar, and J.D. Power country manager for the Philippines Sigfred Doloroso.
“We are truly honored to receive this award as the No. 1 in Sales Satisfaction. As always, Honda remains true to its promise of delivering products of the highest quality and providing the best customer satisfaction,” said Atty. Louie Soriano, General Manager of Sales Division and Spokesperson of Honda Cars Philippines, Inc.
“Getting your first car is an exciting experience but not an easy decision to make,” J.D. Power Philippine country manager Sigfred Doloroso says in a statement. “Dealers can add value by not only making sure that customers get the right car for the best price but also spending the time to celebrate this first new purchase. This can be made possible through [a> better understanding of the customers’ profile, needs, and preferences.”
This is the second consecutive year that HCPI has won the award. The J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Index ranks major local car manufacturers in terms of sales satisfaction through a comprehensive analysis of local car buying and delivery experiences. The survey factors in dealer facility, delivery process, paperwork completion, and dealer website.
Eight major car manufacturers were ranked in the survey conducted for 2019, which surveyed 1,830 new vehicle owners who bought cars between Jul 2018 and April 2019. Honda got first place with 832 points while Mitsubishi and Toyota got second and third place with a score of 829 points and 823 points, respectively. In total, Honda has received three No1. J.D. Power Philippines Sales Satisfaction Index Award—first in 2012, then in 2018 and 2019.
