Honda Cars PH rolls out quality certification program

MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) has rolled out the Honda Certified Plus Program. 

According to the local subsidiary of the Japanese carmaker, the said certification program aims to give customers looking to sell their Honda vehicles the opportunity to get the most value out of them, as well as the opportunity to post their certified units on the upcoming Honda pre-owned vehicle website. 

The Honda Certified Plus Program consists of the following: 

• 288-point quality inspection 
• Repairs performed by skilled Honda technicians
• Use of 100% Honda genuine parts and lubricants 
• Issuance of quality certificate 

Only vehicles not more than 10 years old or a maximum of 100,000 kilometers (km) on the odometer are eligible for the Honda Certified Plus Program. 

Certification process 

Per HCPI, the certification process can be completed in four steps: pre-qualification, inspection, rectification, and certification. 

The pre-qualification assessment — which is available for eligible cars even with irregular or no service visits — will be performed by HCPI-trained technicians, who will release the inspection result and discuss service recommendations soon after. 

Once the repairs are completed, the authorized dealer shall update the assessment result and certify the vehicle as a Honda-certified vehicle. 

Depending on the vehicle’s condition, HCPI will offer either of the following certifications:

The Honda Certified Plus Program is currently available on the following dealership locations: 

• Honda Cars Makati
• Honda Cars Alabang
• Honda Cars Quezon City
• Honda Cars Marcos Highway
• Honda Cars Fairview
• Honda Cars Batangas

“By establishing the Honda Certified Plus Program, HCPI aims to help existing customers get the best price from selling their Honda vehicle. At the same time, HCPI ensures their new owners experience the joy of buying a safe and roadworthy vehicle,” the company wrote in a press release.
