Honda Cars PH to bring new tech, HR-V RS model at 2022 PIMS

MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is pleased to announce its participation in the most anticipated motor show in the country, the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) from September 15 to 18. In line with the overall event theme, Honda will exhibit new and upcoming models, future technologies, and offer deals in line with the carmaker’s “Joyful, Safer World” vision.

    In addition, PIMS 2022 will also be the venue for the official Philippine debut of the 2022 Honda HR-V RS Turbo Honda Sensing and the accessorized Honda City 1.5 CVT and Honda Civic RS Turbo CVT. On top of these, there will be a preview of an all-new Honda model that will only be shown during the motor show.

    HCPI will present the capabilities of its advanced technology platform, Honda Connect. This upcoming technology aims to provide safety, security, and convenience through smartphone connectivity. The platform serves as a personal assistant connected to the vehicle, further enhancing the Honda ownership experience. With Honda Connect, advanced mobility will be available at the driver’s fingertips.

    2022 Honda HR-V RS Powertrain

    The 2022 Honda HR-V RS is already available in other Asian markets such as Malaysia and Thailand. The 2022 Honda HR-V RS is equipped with Honda's twin-motor e:HEV hybrid system in these countries. This technology combines a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 107 horsepower with two electric motors to produce a maximum output of 131 horsepower and a maximum torque of 253 Nm. The crossover has adjustable drive modes and can achieve 25.6kpl.

    In keeping with other Honda RS models, this variant of HR-V is made unique externally by a two-tone roof that is exclusively matched to the Ignite Red body color, sequential signal lights, larger wheels than other HR-V models at 18 inches, and even a panoramic sunroof.

    Honda Cars Philippines has not stated whether the local HR-V RS models will get these features.

    Meanwhile, PIMS 2022 visitors can also experience the advantages and key features of Honda Sensing through test drives opportunities HCPI will offer at the event. This active safety package is available in models such as the Honda CR-V SX Diesel 9AT AWD, and the all-new HR-V and the Civic. This is aligned with Honda’s plan to integrate Honda Sensing as a standard safety feature in all Honda models in the future.

    Other Honda models available for testing include the City 1.5 RS CVT, City Hatchback 1.5 RS CVT, Civic RS Turbo CVT, CR-V SX Diesel 9AT, BR-V 1.5 V CVT, HR-V V Turbo CVT, and Brio 1.2 RS Black Top CVT.

    PIMS 2022 visitors can receive buying perks from HCPI. The company will dangle freebies, additional and exclusive cash discounts, free one-year PMS for on-site reservations on top of the existing promos, and up to 50% discount on select accessories. These offers are available only at the Honda exhibit during the motor show.

    Fun for the whole family is also on hand through a wide array of activities especially prepared for them. Visitors can also win prizes through onsite lucky draws and activities from the official Honda Cars Philippines Facebook page.

    The 2022 Philippine International Motor Show will happen from September 15 to 18, from 10 a.m. to 8p.m. at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Tickets are available at the venue for P200 each, with first 1,000 ticket buyers getting 50% discount every show day.

    The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) announced the return of the PIMS after its four-year hiatus due to the pandemic. With the theme of “Mobility + Humanity: Innovating for the Common Good”, the biennial event will bring the country’s biggest automotive brands together to showcase their latest vehicles and cutting-edge technologies.
