Honda certification program rolled out for qualified vehicles

MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) recently launched its Vehicle Certification Program as a way to benefit and reward customers who follow the recommended periodic maintenance services (PMS) at authorized Honda dealerships and service centers nationwide.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the two types of certificates that will be given to customers?

Eligible vehicles will be certified based on two categories of certificates, depending on the status of the vehicle’s warranty. Customers with vehicles within warranty period must complete the mandatory six PMS visits from the purchase date, while customers with vehicles that are over three years old must complete four consecutive PMS visits after the warranty period.
  • What is the certificate for?

Honda vehicles are certified based on their compliance with Honda’s regular periodic maintenance requirements. This certification assures that all parts and lubricants have been replaced on time, keeping the vehicle in great condition.
  • Do customers have to pay for the certificate?

No. Customers with eligible vehicles can get their certificates from the servicing dealership for free.
  • Honda vehicles are certified based on their compliance with Honda’s regular periodic maintenance requirements. This certification assures that all parts and lubricants have been replaced on time, keeping the vehicle in great condition. The certificate will be useful for people seeking used Hondas since it guarantees and validates that the used vehicle being sold has received proper care and maintenance through authorized Honda dealerships and service centers, resulting in a higher resale value.

Customers with vehicle within warranty period must complete the mandatory six PMS visits from the purchase date, while customers with vehicles that are over three years old must complete four consecutive PMS visits after the warranty period.

If the cars reach 10,000 km ahead of the prescribed six-month PMS interval period, the regular PMS schedule considering period will be observed (six months or 10,000 km, whichever comes first). Parts and lubricants must be checked and replaced according to Honda’s standard PMS schedule. Any vehicle modifications or use of non-genuine Honda parts will result in exclusion from the Honda Vehicle Certification Program.

Customers with eligible vehicles can get their certificates from the servicing dealership for free. Certificates for vehicles that are still under warranty will be provided after their last maintenance appointment upon confirmation that they qualify for the program. Certificates for out-of-warranty vehicles will be given upon request. The validity period of certificates is six months from the last maintenance visit and must be noted on the certificate.
