Honda City hatchback is segment best-seller with 189 units sold since Apr. launch
MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) announced that the City hatchback ranked first in subcompact hatch sales, with 189 units sold since it was launched in April. The model also accounted for 75% of the market share, HCPI added.
HCPI cited the City Hatchback’s versatility as one of the many reasons customers went for this model. Thanks to its Ultra Seats, it can easily adapt to a wide variety of lifestyle and cargo needs. Notable interior features include a Smart Entry and Remote Engine Start System, eight-inch touchscreen audio with Apple CarPlay Android Auto, and WebLink connectivity.
"Other reasons include the strong equity of the Honda brand, as well as its sporty and stylish exterior RS design," HCPI boasted.
Customers' positive feedback on the City hatchback’s driving capabilities, power, and fuel efficiency are said to be the reasons behind the successful sales.
Under the hood is a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine that produces maximum power output of 121ps and 145Nm of torque. The engine helped the car to net 25kpl after 73.5 kilometers of highway driving, during an economy run done by the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) last May.
The City hatchback's safety suite give the 189 customers piece of mind. The car comes standard with the following features: six airbags, G-Force Control (G-CON), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Agile Handling Assist (AHA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Speed Sensing Auto Door Locks, and Multi-view Rear Camera with guidelines.
On top of these safety gadgets, the City hatchback scored a five-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP (ASEAN New Car Assessment Program).
The City Hatchback retails at P1.115 million, and is available in four colors: Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic.
All-in low down payments, low monthly amortization, flexible payment terms, free insurance package, and other financing options sweeten the deal at HCPI's dealerships nationwide.
“The positive acceptance of the Filipino market for the model means a lot for us and we would like to reaffirm our promise to continuously serve the country with quality products and excellent customer service," HCPI President Masahiko Nakamura expressed.
More information on the car is available at HCPI's dealerships, and at its virtual showroom at www.hondaphil.com.
