Honda Civic 2016 Graced Indonesia with its Presence: Is Philippines next??

MANILA: Despite all the happiness and craziness over the arrival of almost all the latest models from the top brands at MIAS 2016, the Filipinos were still somewhat saddened as they did not get to see the most-anticipated Honda Civic 2016. Honda was among those brands who did not show up at the show. But nevertheless, it's a time for celebration as the all-new Civic has graced our neighboring country, Indonesia yesterday during ongoing Indonesia International Motor Show and next in the line will be our country hopefully.

The 10th-generation Civic arrived in Indonesia is only available in one variant, 1.5-litre Turbo powered by Euro 4 DOHC four-cylinder i-VTEC Turbo engine capable of churning out the maximum power of 173 PS and peak torque of 220 Nm. Sames as the one in Thailand, this new Civic's engine is mated with an Earth Dreams Technology CVT automatic transmission and the improved suspension is linked to 17-inch alloy wheels giving a sporty look to Honda sedan. For those looking for an additional sporty look, the brand has also included the Modulo accessories in conjunction with Sport and Sport+ package.

The new Civic in Indonesia is not the exact replica of the Thai-spec Civic , as it has got few differences here and there like its twin tailpipes and absence of black grille and also the RS badge used in Thailand is replaced by the 'i-VTEC Turbo' emblem on the boot lid.

The 10th-generation Civic Turbo here features LED headlights with LED DRLs, 8-way powered driver's seat (thai-spec got additional 4-way powered passenger seats), single-zone auto air con which is dual in Thai-spec model, remote engine starts, keyless entry 7-inch infotainment system with SatNav, cruise control and electronic parking brake among other features.

Packed with Modulo accessories and new body kit, the Civic Turbo price is kept at around Rp 475,000,000 (PhP 328556727.90). Fingers crossed for the next destination to be Philippines only.
