Honda CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition Released For Filipinos – Bookings Open
MANILA: The much-awaited news is finally out! Somewhere, we Filipinos were waiting for the news from Honda about the arrival of the final edition of its much acclaimed CR-Z and at last, the Japanese giant announced the same. While unveiling the last model of this hybrid drive for the Philippines automotive market, Honda also announced that the model will be offered in limited units and the orders will be accepted until 31st July 2016 through Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda's automobile unit in the Philippines. The last edition has been labelled as Honda CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition and this sport hybrid coupe will feature the Final Edition sticker at its rear to flaunt its exclusivity.
The news of ending the production of Honda CR-Z is not new but the company has not revealed any reasons behind this decision yet. We assume that the declining sales of this model in comparison to its contemporaries and even with other models of Honda fleet has forced the brand to do so. Well, with confined reasons the brand has put its best in the last model of the CR-Z to make it memorable and privileged for the company as well as for the proud owners. Here's a quick summary of what the Honda CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition is holding within for its prospective customers -
Power-Unit
The final edition of CR-Z houses a 1.5-litre i-VTEC powertrain with an Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) Hybrid facility. This lightweight sports car has Three Mode Drive System which allows the driver to select from the Sports, EON, and Normal modes depending on the road conditions and to add more fun and dynamics to the driving.
Style With Exclusivity
The new and final model of CR-Z has been tweaked a little from here and there for a refreshed appearance without any major changes. The LED daytime running lights have been redesigned while the bumpers have been revised for a more aggressive look. As aforementioned, the car would feature its exclusivity through the 'Final Edition' badges on the side skirts. The overall sportiness of this hybrid beauty is further defined by the sharp character lines and low-slung design.
Aristocratic Interior
The new CR-Z IMA Final Edition has a stylish cabin just like its previous models. The exclusivity in this cabin is the all-black leather trim which depicts the sportiness. This model is packed with push start button and electronic parking brake instead of the earlier available traditional lever-type parking brake. Along with this, the manufacturer has plotted an advanced infotainment facility comprising a new 7-inch touch screen, a display for the multi-view reverse camera and a navigation system.
Color Options
The new CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition is available in single and dual-tone color palette -
- Polished Metal Metallic
- Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic
- Helios Yellow Pearl
- Milano Red
- Premium White Pearl
The dual-tone color options would carry black roof, tailgate and mirrors and the customers would have to shed PhP 30,000 additional to own them.
Cost To Own
The new final edition sports hybrid coupe would be available with an option of 6-speed manual gearshift and CVT with paddle shifters. The prices for both trims are -
- New CR-Z IMA Final Edition MT – PhP 1,440,000
- New CR-Z IMA Final Edition CVT – PhP 1,530,000
Well, surely the absence of CR-Z will create a vacuum in the Honda fleet and its lovers but then there are some other cars which are the worthy contenders of taking its place. Still, if you are willing to own this limited-run Final Edition, here's your chance of grabbing it. Remember, HPCI won't entertain any booking requests after 31st July 2016. So, better hurry up!
