Honda hints that upcoming 2023 CR-V will pack more style, better hybrid system

MANILA: Honda has released a teaser of its all-new 2023 CR-V, which is expected to go on sale in the US later this year. 

"Rugged and sophisticated design. Increased versatility. A more advanced hybrid system for a sportier driving experience and more capability. The next generation of Honda’s most popular SUV is on the way," the carmaker stated in a release. 

The 2023 Honda CR-V could have a larger exterior compared with the current model, while its new LED headlights and taillights, and larger grille, should give it more road presence. 

As for its hybrid powertrain, the 2023 Honda CR-V is expected to surpass the fuel consumption figure of the current hybrid CR-V available in the US market, which is estimated at 16kpl.  The compact SUV will likely be equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission and either front- or all-wheel drive. 

Honda has expressed its environmental goal of carbon neutrality for all products and corporate activities by 2050. This encompasses the target for automobiles, which is 100% electrification by 2040.
