Honda PH bids farewell to Jazz
MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has officially announced the discontinuation of the Jazz hatchback.
Honda Jazz was launched in the country in July 2004 and was considered as an innovative model in the brand's lineup in the Philippines. Since its debut in the country, the Jazz has been one of the top-selling Honda models, moving more than 25,000 units to date. The Jazz is best known for its striking style, spacious cabin, various features, and outstanding performance. The hatchback’s local debut was followed by two more generations that were unveiled in 2008 and 2014. One of the great milestones of the Honda Jazz is the facelift that was developed for its third generation, which was launched in 2017. The third generation of the Jazz introduced the hatchback’s sporty RS variant in the local market.
In a statement, HCPI President Masahiko Nakamura said, “The Jazz has been a remarkable nameplate in the Philippine market for around 13 years. However, as we continue to put an emphasis on meeting market demands, we have thoroughly studied the necessity of the models in our current model lineup. After careful consideration, we would like to formally announce the discontinuation of Jazz and all its variants, in order for us to shift our focus and resources to our current and upcoming models.”
The Jazz can still be availed from Honda Cars dealerships until supplies last.
