Honda PH donates P2-M to PH Red Cross for Odette relief
MANILA: Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of the Honda group of companies in the Philippines, recently made a monetary donation of P2 million to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in support of the relief operations in the provinces affected by Typhoon Odette.

According to a recent report by the United Nations Office of Coordination for Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), the super typhoon caused serious damage to five regions: Caraga, Central Visayas, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and MIMAROPA.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has recorded a total of P16.67 billion worth of damage in infrastructure and P3.963 billion worth of loss in agricultural resources. The agency also reported that around 478,953 houses were affected by the typhoon.

Through our donation to the Philippine Red Cross relief operations,we hope that we can touch the lives of those affected by this super typhoon. The PRC has been working ceaselessly to provide first-aid treatments, food, water, clothing, and hygiene kits in various typhoon-affected areas. The organization has also pledged to assist at least 400,000 affected individuals.
The Honda management added, “We are also committed to our advocacy of being a company that society wants to exist. We aim to continue aiding more Filipinos in the future so we can spread more hope in every moment of crisis.”
