Honda PH outlines safety guidelines for dealerships
MANILA: Beginning May 4, the after-sales operations and dealer sales of Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) will resume in selected car dealerships situated in general community quarantine (GCQ) areas.
In addition to the sanitization of its facilities, HCPI will also enforce safety measures across all 38 dealerships in the country to guarantee the safety and health of dealer associates and loyal customers.
Dealer associates and customers will also undergo body temperature scanning before entering the premises of the dealerships. Those who have a body temperature reading 38°Celsius and higher will be denied entry.
Customers are also required to wear face masks before entering and while at the dealership. They must disinfect their hands using sanitizers that are available in designated areas. Dealer associates also need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when transacting and addressing customer concerns.
Social and physical distancing measures (at least one meter distance) will also be followed in all facilities inside the dealership, which include the transaction areas, customer lounges, service reception, and showroom. All areas where customers are entering will have distinct markings or labels.
Customers bringing in their vehicles for periodic maintenance service or those availing aftersales services should set an appointment first with their dealerships. This will not only aid in reducing the number of people at facilities, but it will also help Honda dealers handle customer concerns effectively during these challenging times.
In other Honda dealerships worldwide, precautionary measures are also being implemented to aid in protecting valued customers and personnel against the coronavirus. Other dealerships have enforced a disinfection schedule during business hours for thorough sanitization of all light switches, access handles, doorknobs, and general contact surfaces. Hand sanitizers are available at the entrance and exits of the dealerships and all customer areas.
Because of the present situation, the cleaning crew of some Honda dealerships worldwide is also paying close attention and thoroughly cleaning high-contact surfaces and sensitive areas. Gloves have been made available for the use of employees and customers as well.
