Honda PH releases guidelines for safeguard deposit refund
MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has announced that it will be giving refunds for the provisional safeguard deposit cash bond after the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as dismissed the petition for general safeguard measures on the importation of motor vehicles.
Customers may claim their safeguard deposit refund by downloading the Safeguard Refund Form through bit.ly/3m4dwEr. The completed from must be submitted to the dealer along with the acknowledgment/collection/provisional receipt, vehicle sales invoice, vehicle’s official receipt and certificate of registration, and one valid government-issued identification card.
Customers who prefer to receive their refund through bank deposit instead of check must provide their bank details in the Safeguard Refund Form. Otherwise, the refund release will automatically be in actual check for claiming at the dealership.
Once all requirements are submitted, the dealer will verify them. The customer will receive an update from their dealership of transaction whether they are eligible for safeguard refund. The dealer will also contact the customer once the refund is ready for release. Customers must bring the original documents for verification when they claim the refund.
