Honda to showcase concept vehicles, technologies at upcoming 2023 Japan Mobility Show
MANILA: Honda announced that it will showcase a slew of concept vehicles and various technologies — on top of various cars and motorcycles — at the upcoming 2023 Japan Mobility Show.

The 2023 Japan Mobility Show will happen from October 28 to November 5, 2023.Event-goers will get the chance to get a glimpse of what the brand could offer in the future. One of which is the Honda Specialty Sports Concept electric sports car.
Per Honda, the all-electric performance model is designed to allow its owners to experience the pure joy of driving in the era of electrification.
Other electric models to be displayed include the Honda Sustaina-C Concept, the SC e: Concept, and the Pocket Concept.
The Honda Sustaina-C Concept is a small electric car that pretty much resembles the Honda e. Meanwhile, the SC e: Concept is an electric scooter that features swappable battery technology via Honda Mobile Power Pack e: swappable power units.
On the other hand, the Pocket Concept is a foldable electric motorcycle that closely mimics the Motocompo/Motocompacto.
Also to be displayed at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show is the HondaJet electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL). Per the carmaker, the HondaJet eVTOL is designed to make “three-dimensional mobility” available for people.
To further immerse attendees, Honda will exhibit the full-size interior mockup of the HondaJet Elite II light business jet, and visitors will be welcomed inside to experience the HondaJet interior. Additionally, the one-fifth-size exterior mockup of the Honda eVTOL, and the gas turbine hybrid system currently under development as a power unit of Honda VTOL, will also be showcased.
Mobility products designed to augment abilities and possibilities will also be on display at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show.
Included are the Honda CI-MEV, which is a two-seat, four-wheel electric vehicle designed to offer easily-accessible last-mile mobility for any users.
The brand will also bring the Honda Autonomous Work Vehicle to the expo. It is an autonomous automobile large loads and perform a variety of tasks on behalf of its owners.
Visitors will also get the chance to check out the Honda Avatar Robot, a multi-fingered robotic hand that will allow its owners to perform tasks and experience things remotely.
Finally, Honda will exhibit the Honda Uni-One, a hands-free seated personal mobility device, which will expand opportunities for users with mobility challenges.
According to Honda, the move to bring these technologies to the 2023 Japan Mobility Show is rooted in the brand’s slogan “The Power of Dreams – How we move you” and through it, the brand looks to showcase mobility products, services and technologies, which will enable people to “transcend various constraints such as time and place,” and “augment their abilities and possibilities.”
The Japan Mobility Show will be open to the public from October 28 to November 5, 2023.
