Honda wins 6 accolades at ASEAN NCAP 10th-anniversary awards

MANILA: Honda was the most awarded car manufacturer at the 10th-anniversary celebration of The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) — receiving six awards. This achievement shows Honda’s dedication in ensuring that everyone sharing the road may enjoy the freedom of mobility in a safe manner.

Honda has eight models tested at ASEAN NCAP over the past 10 years, and has received several excellent ratings. During this period, ASEAN NCAP has established three roadmaps for the years 2012-2016, 2017-2020, and 2021-2025. The latest roadmap includes four assessment domains: Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Safety Assist, and Motorcyclist Safety.

In celebration of its 10^th anniversary, ASEAN NCAP presented the Decade of Vehicle Awards to several car manufacturers. Honda emerged as the most successful manufacturer, having won a total of six awards including The Most 5-Star Car (Adult Occupant Protection; 2012-2016), Best Road Safety Partner, Best Forward Facing Child Occupant Protection (2017-2020) for Honda Accord, Safety Technology Award for Honda Civic, and Excellent Award (Consistent 5-Star) for Honda City and Honda Civic.

Honda promised to continue to produce safe and dependable cars while also leading efforts to achieve zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorbikes and automobiles by 2050.
