Hyundai Grand i10 to share stage with Creta at MIAS 2017

MANILA: A few days back, Hyundai Philippines confirmed that it will be bringing the urban SUV, Creta to the Philippines at MIAS 2017. Now, another model is making its way to the Philippines and this is the updated Grand i10. The Hyundai Grand i10 will be manufactured in India and exported alongside the Creta. The news was confirmed by Hyundai’s invite for their press conference at the 2017 Manila International Show. The invite was made by teasing the Grand i10, which will be unveiled alongside the Creta SUV.

As the Philippines will get the India-spec model, the styling will be identical to the one sold in India. Hyundai Grand i10 gets a new cascading hexagonal grille, redesigned fog lamps with LED DRL strips (top-end models), and air curtains, which is also seen in the Hyundai Elantra.

The rear gets a dual-tone bumper with round reflectors. In the cabin, the updated Grand i10 will have a dual tone red and black interior, unlike the dual tone beige and black color combination, which is offered in the Indian market.

It will also get a 7-inch touchscreen system with reverse parking camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new addition to the Grand i10 also includes an automatic climate control. Under the hood, it will be offered with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder Kappa engine with 83 PS maximum power and 111 Nm peak torque. The engine is further coupled to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or 4-speed automatic unit.

The new Hyundai Grand i10 bridges the gap between Hyundai Eon and Hyundai Accent hatchback and offers a great comfort and value for money. Let’s see how the updated Grand i10 will perform in the Philippines market.
