Hyundai Grand Starex Royale treated with a facelift

MANILA: The prominent MPV from the house of South Korean automaker, the Grand Starex Royale has been recently tweaked for some cosmetic upgradations. The updated Grand Starex Royale now possess an exciting new look, enhancing its overall road presence in an effective manner. Considering the changes of Grand Starex Royale, the MPV now features a new grille design which continues downward and becomes part of the bumper design.

The updated Grand Starex Royale has been revealed in Malaysia but, the MPV has won many Filipino’s hearts as well. With the new and more appealing design it will not only attract the ones who wishes to buy an affordable MPV but, the young generation as well. The Grand Starex Royale was first introduced in 1997 and since then, this MPV has earned a significant appreciation in not only the home market but, globally as well.

Talking about the powerhouse, the MPV will still feature the 2.5-litre CRDi diesel engine coupled with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) and a turbo intercooler. The engine is capable of churning out a maximum power output of 170 PS at 3,800 rpm and peak torque stands at 392 Nm at 2,000 rpm. The other features that makes Grand Starex Royale a much appreciated MPV are Cruise Control, Safe Drive Recorder and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP).

For now, the Malaysian market has received the 2017 Grand Starex Royale and the Philippines is still offered with Grand Starex only. Looking at the popularity of the brand in the Philippines, the Grand Starex Royale might be introduced soon in the country. The MPV might also get some awards like Hyundai Tucson, which was awarded  J.D Power 2016 Appeal Award.
