Hyundai Heating up the Filipino Roads – GDI engines on the way

MANILA: Hyundai is counted among those auto brands which have the zeal to develop and deliver better technology and indeed, the sound Research & Development team works efficiently to understand the technological requirements of the current generation. While the Philippines is dealing with environmental issues where the major concern is from vehicles which are contributing high carbon emissions and making the things worse, Hyundai is again coming up with a heroic act offering a rescue option. The South Korean brand was trying for long to enter the Philippines auto market with this option and with the recent notion from Filipino government, it is gearing up a fleet which is environment-friendly as well as pocket-friendly. Double bonanza we would say!

Time to get more on this news. Finally, Philippine Government has modified the emission norms for the sake of the environment and restricting the automakers to provide vehicles which are as per Euro-4 emission levels. While other auto brands have to make big changes and advancements in technology, Hyundai having a futuristic approach is already ready with an engine which is capable of knocking out higher power with less carbon emission and reduced fuel consumption. Delighted to read, carry on! Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) has shown its excitement and confirmed the news that the brand is finally bringing its GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engine through the upcoming MIAS 2016 for the first time in the Philippines.

Till now, the Hyundai line-up for the Philippine automotive market was dominated by MPI engines and with the arrival of a better technology which has mastered in power and efficiency segment, the manufacturer can now indulge Filipinos with an extended fleet and this gives a hint of the possible arrival of Veloster in the local market. The one-of-its-kind sports car with one door on driver side and two doors on passenger side comes packed with 1.6-litre GDI engine and is known for its performance. Also, at present, the company is offering Sonata with 2.4-litre MPI engine only but with the affirmation for GDI engine, Hyundai can bring its Sonata Eco with 2.4-litre or 2.0-litre twin-turbo engines which Hyundai is selling like hot cakes in the international market.

With the arrival of award-winning GDI engine technology, Hyundai is surely going to rule the roads and hearts of Filipinos. Also, the prospective customers can expect the current line-up with GDI engine option. Filipinos can expect a clearer picture of Hyundai's plans at the upcoming MIAS 2016, till then cherish the latest news!
