Inchcape is Changan’s New Official Local Distributor

MANILA: Changan International Corporation has appointed global automotive distributor Inchcape as the distributor of Changan vehicles in the Philippines.

Inchcape Philippines, a joint venture between Inchcape and the CATS Group of Companies, will manage the distributorship.

Inchcape's local market expertise, extensive experience in distribution and retailing, and cutting-edge digital capabilities will be combined with Changan's advanced research and development capability, innovative products, outstanding services, and supply chain to provide top-notch customer experiences.

For Inchcape’s part, South Asia and Pacific Managing Director Alex Hammett said, “We are pleased to join hands with Changan, a leading OEM to distribute their extensive and high-quality vehicle portfolio in the Philippines. This is an exciting milestone for us as we see strong growth potential in the Philippines and opportunities for shared success with Changan. This is a great example of our strategy in action, accelerating the performance of our mobility company partners, and Inchcape being the automotive distributor of choice.”

The partnership further strengthens Inchcape's established and emerging presence in the Asia-Pacific region and will expand its distribution network in the country. Inchcape Philippines will operate the distributorship across over 25 Changan dealerships and sales outlets in the country starting this month.

A wide range of Changan products will be covered by the distributorship, including the Changan Alsvin sedan, the Changan CS35 Plus compact crossover, the Changan CS55 Plus compact SUV, and the premium Changan Uni-T and Changan Uni-K models. Inchcape's electric vehicle offering could be expanded with Changan's ongoing investments in new energy vehicle platforms, while Changan is going to benefit from Inchcape's proven track record of successful OEM market entries and its market leadership in data, digital, and technology services.
